Misery Island....aye matey!!!

1981.....Salem , MA. Coming up right quick on the 4th of July and us...the few..the drunk...the power plant workers..without a plan. There was the Horribles Parade at the Willows..fuck that. The witch crap in town..fuck that..royally. We needed a new deal. A Franklin Roosevelt kinda thing.
One of the lads...digging for whatever came upon a little known local factoid. There was a long lost charter for the Misery Island Club that was was available for re-enactment. The cost..a small fee. The involvement..a cast of idiots willing to sign a hunk of paper saying all sorts of silly public minded bullshit. We were down!

Before we knew it..we had re-established the long lost Misery Island Club of the early 1900's...and along with it a host of legally binding shit!! Like we sorta, could rule, like a tiny kingdom..this little fucking island off the coast of Salem ,MA.

Well...we didn't take the latitudes we could have...but we did plan one hell of a fucking party. We lined up several boats, all with part and parcel assigned to each. We had food boats, beer boats, liquor boats, band boats and water taxis to make all the aforementioned make sense. After all..we needed shitloads of drunken assholes to have fun. Right??
Well....as we learned years later..build it and they will come..and cum. The drunken revelry continued from July 3rd will into the wee hours of Tuesday...July 7th. There were so many things lost. Money..wallets..beer..virginity...pride...but there was sooo much gained.
On those craggy rocks..on that weekend...a team of men...bonded together by little more than alcohol and a desire to pump a load into anything that had a pulse....found out that ..well..there was more..there was life...a better way...a bond between men that could never be torn asunder...there was...ARGGGHHHH.....this is bullshit..we drank..got laid...got severely fucked up..it was awesome!!! MISERY ISLAND CLUB 4 EVA!!!!
