The sad thing is that everyone thought it was theatrics at first. If they had known, more lives could maybe have been saved. By the way, who brings a 3 month old to the movies for a 12am showing of The Dark Knight Rises? They are 3 months old!

I couldn't stand its pornographic treatment in the media. The Steve Wilkos Show is less exploitative than the coverage this tragedy has been getting

Really one armed citizen could have averted alot of tragedy.

I'm disgusted by the political fallout. For fucks sake. Innocent people lost their lives, including service members and young children. There comes a time when people need to set politics aside. I have both friends and family in Colorado, and don't think that wasn't the first thing that came to mind when I heard about this.

"I hate to say it, but we as Americans are basically experts at this kind of thing by now,” said 45-year-old market analyst Jared Gerson, adding that the number of media images of Aurora, CO citizens crying and looking shocked is “pretty much right in line with where it usually is at this point." "The calls not to politicize the tragedy should be starting in an hour, but by 1:30 p.m. tomorrow the issue will have been politicized. Also, I wouldn’t be surprised if the shooter’s high school classmate is interviewed within 45 minutes."

Could've been let in with a backpack of diesel and nitric and gotten the same result.

Everything is political.

Sad. Good people are always in the way of evil.

Correct.

Look at the mass murder in Norway.

Gun control is not the problem.

This is a Mental Health problem.

That is true. And in answer to the same tired arguments for more gun control (instead of violent criminal control) in America, let us not forget that even in relatively gun-restricted nations, these tragedies occur as well.

Truly a traedy this Aurora shooting. Pleasr don;t let this turn into a political match either.

That being said....

Denverites: FUCK. YOUR. AIR. PORT.

That piece of shit is a two mile long building full of remorse and terrible forethought. And I just spent 6 hours there on a clusterfuck of a layover coming back from portland.

I apologize for the above statement. It was a drunken knee-jerk reaction to the way it was being politicized in the media already. Sorry to any who have family or friends who are or were in Colorado.
