I know I've said that a million times, but I am really willing to pay you a visit in Ireland this summer: I'm going to be on holliday for a month in between the 29th of July and the 20th of August, so if you're available for a week-end during that period, just let me know and I'll drag my ass to the closest airport.

Just got home, yo! After Fiji I had 3 nights in LA, then 3 in New York. Awesome way to end the trip. Those four months flew by!!

Did most of my drinking in LA. Friggin' loved the Rainbow bar on Sunset Strip for the pure reason that it featured in Californication! I loved LA so much I was worried New York wouldn't be able to stand up to it. Of course, my lack of faith was unfounded. New York is AWESOME! You can get black-out drunk and still find your way back to your hotel (even though you've only been there once), because the whole city is on an astonishingly well laid out grid.

As a side note, my great-grandfather got shipped over to New York almost 90 years ago because he had lots of girlfriends at the same time as having a wife (my grandma). Along with these girlfriends came children, and in those days that sort of thing was punishable so they deported him to New York. Justice!? I couldn't track any of his US family down though. Bummer.
