June 14th, 1789 – Whiskey distilled from maize is first produced by American clergyman the Rev Elijah Craig. It is named Bourbon because Rev Craig lived in Bourbon County, Kentucky

I haven't tried any of the Hudson whiskey because they're damned expensive. Even at the discount liquor emporium I frequent, a 375 ml bottle (half a fifth) is fucking $50. Couple feet to the right, a handle of Evan is $17. No contest.
