Depends how you're taking them. Mojitos and Rickeys are more daytime drinks, while a rum and coke or a martini skew evening. Whiskey is always more of night thing for me, unless it's gameday or other flask time.

If you have some tonic, then go for a few large G&T's then move onto the whiskey. If you're still thirsty after that, then fall back on the rum...
