Mr. Boozificator, You've been holding out on us Frenchman

Postby Patchez » Fri Feb 10, 2012 1:17 pm

Ok Boozi, why haven't you told us you guys are exporting whisky? I was at my local candy store and was wandering aimlessly looking to fulfill my HBE obligations, when I happened upon a bottle of this.

It says its made in the south west region of France.

I'll let you know how it is when I crack it later this evening. Gotta get my HBE package shipped first.

So I've got a few glasses under my belt. This stuff isn't bad. 30 bucks a bottle and quite nice for the money. Spicy start, smooth vanilla finish. Lingers long and lovingly. Overall a solid 7.

Gotta hunt that Bastille down and try a bottle.

I was given a bottle of "Amorik" (French single-malt) a few years back...it was quite decent.

There's supposedly a peated French single on the market.

Does it taste more like a bourbon or a scotch?

It seemed to be somewhere between a bourbon and a blended Canadian, at least to the untrained palate of this particular Philistine. I don't know if it will go into a constant rotation in my bar but it will be picked up a few times a year as a nice conversation tipple.

Boozificator hasn't made an appearance yet, tho he's visited "the art..." What gives? Whatever, hope everyone's drunk.

Guilty as charged, not that I'd mind viewing that extravaganza.
