That's why Spook and I throw the Midwest Invasion! Our leader fails us and we simply take up where he left off. Hopefully it'll get bigger with each passing year.

I had the pleasure of attending what appears to have been the last Convention in Denver in '08. Got to hoist a few with The Emperor himself - and wind up on the mosh pit floor with him whilst Luke Schmaltz's punk band rocked on. Still have stains on the back of that shirt (the one I'm wearing in my av) from that pit that I won't even attempt to remove. Badge of dishonor and all of that rot.

Workin' on gettin' ol' FKR to show up at The Invasion - I tweeted him about it a coupla months ago and he wanted to know "when and where this madness is taking place". That'd be SICK if he showed. Either or, we had a good damned time last year and we plan to do the same in a coupla weeks.

Those of you on the fence - GET THERE! You won't be disappernted.

I'll go to any invasion within 4-5 hours driving distance of my fair city. At least until I get knocked up again - well, I might still go and be the food/booze fetcher for the drunkards. I had fun pregnant and undrunk at the shmooperbowl, after all.
