how is that possible? really? really?!?!

really?!>

while I'm still in awe that Alice in Chains is still routg touring (really?!!!!), I atlketalked to a teacher I work with who just saw the Dropkick Murphys in Boston this poast weekend (apparetntly they celebrate st. Patrdicks day down there -ha) and I just started laughing . . . he had no idea what he was in for! he's an older, portly guy in a button down shirt - I gues he thougt he was seeing a band that played Irish music. hahahaha. obviously, I was jealous.

(and of the person that saw Alice in Chains . .. really????!!!)

If its open bar, go to the wedding. If its pay, go to Iron Maiden.

Revereand Horton Heat shows kick ass. Unfortunately, the last time I 'saw' them, I was on a week long whiskey bender and didn't remember a goddamn thing despite it being a split show with Slim Cessna's Auto Club in a small venue. I woke up the next day back at my place missing my jacket and sporting a large cut on my face... I'm sure the show was rad as usual, though.

The best shows I've seen in the last few years were, in no particular order:

Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds
Eagles of Death Metal
The Melvins
Leonard Cohen
The Goddamn Gallows
Sunn 0)))
The Pixies
Slayer/ Behemoth / Cannibal Corpse (metal festival)
IN VINO VERITAS

Rushing for a Pogues ticket in 10 minutes when the presale starts. They'll play in Amsterdam in August. David are you with me?

Flogging Molly is in Atlantic City tomorrow night, and I can't go. Damn it. But I got a great local band to see tonight - Seven Stone.

Yes, I'm quoting myself. Screw you.

The band was awesome last night. They were supposed to play outside on the deck at the bar, but the weather forced them inside. With all the out-doors equiptment. They were extra loud.

Not yet, those tickets are pretty expensive. I have a little advice for you, though. You live near Eindhoven, right? Well, next monday one of the greatest singer-songwriters of our time is playing there, at Meneer Frits. His name is Grayson Capps.

For about 10 Euros (and a little bravery (or drunkenness) of your own) you can have something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFqpez6iqxY

And maybe drink with the guy afterwards. And with me!

Seriously, everyone: go see this guy. He's fucking awesome. Check him out on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_q ... yson+capps

And if you need more convincing, here's a great song about a great drunk: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rM8veMYmy_k

The movie starring John Travolta and Scarlett Johansson was named after this song.

I saw them two months ago when they were in dallASS.

Excellent show. they know how to play to their crowd (they were drinking guiness and the music) and was personally involved in two, well, wouldn't call them fights but scuffles with two fucking wasted guys. Good time all around. Love flogging molly.
Getting drunk was good. I decided that I would always like getting drunk. It took away the obvious and maybe if you could get away from the obvious often enough, you wouldn't become obvious yourself - Bukowski
