I recently found out that humus, pita, artichoke hearts, and banana peppers make for epic drunken food.
The obvious one is hot wings and beer.

I worked in a Greek restaurant for a hot minute. I used to take home hummus and pita to devour while drunk. Still my fave, especially with the addition of Sriracha or any other hot sauce that makes for an uncomfortable poop the next day.
There are those who look upon some of my more unsavory habits and call them the cries for help of a problem drinker. I prefer to think of them as the charming misadventures of a dashing rogue.

Please don't think I have a problem with gravy in the culinary sense. I love the stuff. In fact, I have been lauded on any number of occasions for my gravy-making skills. I just thought the name sounded funny when I heard it years ago. My Guinness and steak-fond gravy has become something of a local legend.
