Bars in RI

Postby EGad987 » Wed Jun 03, 2009 2:40 pm

Well, tonight is my last night in the Sooner State. Got one last show at my local to run tonight and I'm gone tomorrow. Probably with an epic hangover. Got stationed here 9 years ago for the Air Force and never left. Now family obligations are driving me back to Rhody. Having moved out when I was 17 I don't know any good bars there. Any recommendations? I know we've got some Massholes here, anyone from RI?

The Living Room is a good cheap punk rock bar. Good place to go to shows. Good luck finding it. The mean ass locals wouldn't tell me where it was.

Used to play the Living Room in the '80s with the Blasters. The old "Lupo's" was also great place to play, but Lupo built himself a new place in the '90s called "Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel".

Bigger, cleaner, nicer -- but not better.

Yeah, the old Lupo's was awesome. It was teeeeeny. I remember going to see some reggae show there and you couldn't even see the stage from all the weed smoke. Hey, Peetie, are you on the back of a Blasters record cover, standing in a pool with a beer?
