I don't see pregaming as a cost-saving measure, because I'll still drink as much (if not more) when we finally get where we're going. It's more of a "start the fun sooner" kinda deal. You're getting dressed, playing music, waiting for everybody to show up at the rally point, the anticipation building. Gotta take the edge off with some cocktails.
