This really sucks. Just a day ago I was wondering who the next famous person to die would be, too bad it had to be someone really cool. RIP MCA and RIP Beastie Boys I guess.

Adam Yauch was a rare and beautiful guy...a bit of a punk at times, sarcastic and smarmy...but he redefined two genres of music, rose awareness about Tibet's plight, and that's plenty enough for me to raise a glass in his honor. I also respect the fact that he didn't dye his grey hair to cater to the youth-obsessed culture he operated in and dominated.
