Secret embarassment

Postby Ozz » Wed Feb 10, 2010 12:22 pm

After some 40 years of pounding beers and whiskey shots , I find myself adding a shot of tomato juice to each of my daily 7 beers.

Is this the onset of turning girly? Can I do this in my local watering hole, and not be ridiculed?

Also I'm finding myself in the morning not where I put myself the previous evening when I drink more than 6 shots with the beer.

Any thoughts.

Losing my edge in Dufferin.

Makes modern cheap ass beer taste fuller and richer. It's called a red eye

Means I go to bed and wake up in another bed, or on the couch if I've been drinking whiskey.
and only if I've been drinking whiskey.

Wife finds it amusing, I just find it weird.

So long as you still enjoy drinking then that's all that matters...

Oh I do, I was just curious whether other drunks find themselves and their lives becoming more and more eccentric over the years.

At my local there's usually more people drinking red beers than not. It's a Mexican thing here.

Actually it's called several different things depending upon where you live. It's just called red beer here.

So I'm not alone, And I have no doubt that the wife won't remain amused for long if this keeps up.

Think I'll try a sleeping bag next time I hit the rye.

har! i swear to god, it's like i'm the wolfman or something. i've been trying to figure out how to tie myself to the bed to keep from doing this. it's only just started this last year (i'm 37).

...'course, not sure how The Redhead would react to me pissing the bed, either...wait a minute, yes i am sure.

that's weird. i pissed myself about a week ago. i'm not sure how the redhead would react to me pissing in your bed, but my wife thought it was pretty funny, in a 'jesus christ!' kind of way. that's only the second time i've pissed myself. first time, around 20 years old after downing a fifth of monopolova. dammit, i'll be in depends soon so it's all good.
why is my moral compass always pointed east? that's the direction of the nearest liquor store.

perhaps the "real" problem is with how we're drinking, not talking volume, talking sequence,
I usually start with the beers and then hit the rye, perhaps I should be hitting the rye then starting in on the beers.

I'll try it tonight, no time to waste when scientific progress beckons.
