Is there anything special about drinking in the sauna, I know my dad likes a few beers before or after, but I never saw him drinking in the sauna, wouldn't your beer just go warm?

Ofcourse it gets warm..But you just have to drink it "faster"
I dont know is there anything aside from the dehydration that gets you relly drunk better, but it really is relaxing after hard work day to drink few beers and take hot sauna.

But we used to do it with couple of friends as we were younger and poor to "get more drunk".

I found that drinking Canadian whiskey straight out of the bottle does the trick quite well in a very short amount of time. It's nice and smooth and you can suck a good two shots out of the bottle per swig without much of a problem. Is Canadian whiskey popular in the U.S.?

Beer to get the buzz, whisk(e)y for the rest. On its own either drink can make you too tipsy and sickly, but the combination I've found over time is just right with about 1/4 bottle of whisk(e)y after 2 pints or so. Then again i'm a solitary drinker so no peep-pressure and I can drink as long into the night as necessary.

I can't say I'm a fan of Canadian whiskey, as I prefer the American type. However, the drinking whiskey straight plan does indeed work and work marvelously.
